On the Alpine pasture hike with the guided natural history tour you 'll learn about the interesting flora, the geological structure of the Höllengebirge with its karstic rocks and the impressive alpine world at the Feuerkogel. Participation is FREE of charge!

The guided tour is free when purchasing an ascent and descent ticket for Feuerkogel cable car.  The Alpine pasture hike with the guided tour lasts around 2 hours. 

  • Date: Every Wednesday from 01.07.2026 to 09.09.2026

  • Meeting point: 10:00 am at the mountain station of Feuerkogel cable car

  • Participation on the guided tour ist FREE of charge!

Tip: Free cable car ride for kids - summer holidays

From 15 July to 9 September 2026, every Wednesday means free travel for children!

As part of the free travel for children scheme, children born in 2010 or later, accompanied by an adult, are invited to use the Feuerkogel cable car free of charge* and enjoy an unforgettable day in the mountains together.

*Children's and school groups are excluded

Viewing platform

Following the guided tour you can enjoy the day on the Feuerkogel and for example hike to one of the viewing points like Europakreuz or Helmeskogel and have a stunning view to the amazing mountains of the 'Ferienregion Traunsee' in the Salzkammergut.
