TRAUNSEE-ALMTAL WINTERBONUS
Every Wednesday from 4 February 2026 to 11 March 2026, guided snowshoe hikes are arranged by the Feuerkogel.

Together with a local guide from ski school Neuhuber, you'll explore the wintry alpine world on Upper Austria's sunniest spot and enjoy the fantastic panorama

  • When: every Wednesday, 04.02.2026 to 11.03.2026*

  • Time: 10:30 am

  • Meeting point:  Drachenpark hut, near mountain station Feuerkogel cable car

  • Duration of tour: approx. 2.5 hours

  • Participation: only for individuals (no groups), per appointment max. 15 people

Participation is free of charge! Subject to changes in dates!

Depending on the weather, wind and mood, you'll hike up together on marked snowshoe trails to the Helmeskogel or European Cross on Alberfeldkogel mountain

Does the guided hike take place?

The guided snowshoe hikes take place in almost any suitable weather conditions! In adverse conditions (storm, fog, ...) the date can be postponed. REGISTRATION required!

Alternative date:
If a date of the guided snowshoe hike is postponed due to weather conditions, you can find the new (alternative) date on the website of Skischule Feuerkogel. Short-term weather-related changes on the same day until 7:30 am!

Package "guided snowshoe hike"

The "guided snowshoe hike" package does not include the ride by Feuerkogel cable car and the snowshoe equipment! Tip: Snowshoe ticket = cable car journey + snowshoe rental - snowshoe ticket
