Sunrise trip + breakfast Feuerkogel

You start early in the morning with the mountain railway to the Feuerkogel. At the top, an atmospheric sunrise over Lake Traunsee in the Salzkammergut awaits you - followed by a cosy mountain breakfast in the Feuerkogelhaus. Afterwards, the tour continues: Upper Austria's sunniest high plateau invites you to hikes with great views, e.g. the Europakreuz, sporty mountain tours, relaxed climbing fun on the Alberfeldkogel or simply to unwind and enjoy the mountain summer.

Date #1: Saturday, 22.08.2026

  • Start = cable car ascent at 5:30 am

  • Sunrise = 6:05 am

  • Breakfast Feuerkogelhaus = 7:00 am to 8:30 am

  • Last cable car descent = 6 pm

Date #2: Saturday, 19.09.2026

  • Start = cable car ascent at 6:00 am

  • Sunrise = 6:30 am

  • Breakfast Feuerkogelhaus = 7:00 am to 8:30 am

  • Last cable car descent = 5 pm

Attention: Please arrive at the meeting point (valley station of the Feuerkogel cable car) 20 minutes BEFORE departure.

Mountain station Feuerkogel

The sunrise is best observed on the top around the Feuerkogel mountain station:

  • at the Feuerkogel mountain station

  • viewing point behind the Christophorus Chapel

  • or on the hiking trail toward the Kranabeth Hut

All spots with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and the lake Traunsee in the Salzkammergut.

Do not forget!

Remember to bring warm clothing and a torch or headlamp for the early morning hours - this will make your mountain experience safe and cosy.

The sun rises behind striking mountain peaks, warm light falls on a hut roof and flowering alpine meadow.

Note:

The sunrise trip can only take place under suitable weather conditions. Participants will be informed by email about any weather-related cancellation no later than 1–2 days in advance.

In the event of a cancellation, the ticket will of course be refunded in full.

  • All prices include 10% VAT and are stated in euros.

  • Prices valid for the summer season 2026.

  • By registration, you agree to participate in the sunrise trip including breakfast.

  • Limited number of participants: Availability is limited – early registration is recommended.

  • Do you own a Naturally 365 ticket or a valid season pass? With the Natürlich 365 ticket or a valid season pass, part of the cost for the ascent and descent is already included. A reduced surcharge applies for the sunrise ride including breakfast.

  • Please select your preferred date for the sunrise ride in the registration form. Registration for both dates is possible. However, please complete and submit the form separately for each date.

  • Please note: The sunrise ride can only take place under suitable weather conditions. Participants will be informed by email about any weather-related cancellation no later than 1–2 days in advance. In the event of a cancellation, the ticket will of course be refunded in full.

  • Dogs must be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle. Tickets for dogs are available in the online shop or at the ticket office.
