Feuerkogel MTB downhill trails: Spectacular 50 degree steep sections, high-speed passages on Alpine meadows and technically difficult sections in the forest.

The Feuerkogel downhill trail - from the builders called "Die Dunkelschwarze" (the dark black) -  provides pure fun and action. Only recommended for MTB experts / pros (no rookie/beginner trail)!

Important! Only ride with protective equipment and a full-face helmet.

Tip: Bike transport on the mountain railway is included with the Naturally 365 Ticket and the Dachstein Salzkammergut Ticket summer season ticket!

Downhill MTB trail

The 4,600-meter-long natural downhill course is selective, challenging and leads more than 1,095 heights down steeply into the valley.

  • Starting point is next to the mountain station of the Feuerkogel cable car, which also serves as a comfortable climbing aid for all mountain bike experts (MTB pros).

  • The trail leads over the mountain pine field, narrow passages on the 'ski piste', over the avalanche barriere to the natural trail through the forest, which is peppered with roots, stones, steep descent.

  • After the forest the trail continues along the 50-degree steep avalanche hill and you can run the bike right.

Important! Only ride with protective equipment and a full-face helmet.

There is bike wash facility at the valley station of the Feuerkogel cable car. Here you have the possibility to freed your mountain bikes from dirt for your nex gondola ride.
