In winter you can travel comfortably and stress-free with the Traunsee winter shuttle to your day of skiing in the Feuerkogel family ski area in Ebensee.
The free Traunsee winter shuttle runs from Gmunden to Ebensee in the periode from 26.12.2025 to 08.03.2026.
IMPORTANT! Register for the transfer with the winter shuttle the day before!

The train station is Ebensee Landungsplatz Station. From there, you can continue your journey to the ski resort by taxi transfer (subject to a charge). The transfer to the valley station (from the train) must be booked in advance. Transfer options:

How to get your tickets:
Discounted family tickets are available exclusively online in our voucher shop.
The voucher must be exchanged for a valid day ticket at the Feuerkogel ticket office.
Tickets are only valid on the selected day.
Note: Unused advance tickets will be credited towards the purchase of a regular lift ticket.

Donation: mountain rescue hut
On Saturday, procurist Gabriel Sieghartsleitner and site manager Kurt Reiter from the cable car operator Bergbahnen Feuerkogel presented a donation to the team of Ebensee mountain rescue.
The funds will go towards the construction of the new mountain rescue hut on the Feuerkogel. To ensure fast and effective assistance in the future, modern infrastructure for the mountain rescue service is indispensable.
We would like to sincerely thank Ebensee mountain rescue for their tireless commitment and the excellent cooperation with Feuerkogel cable cars.

Extention of the Europe Cross
On May 13, 2025, the Europe Cross at Feuerkogel was ceremoniously expanded with stones from Bulgaria, Croatia, and Romania. With this addition, all EU member states are now represented at the Europe Cross – a powerful symbol of unity, diversity, and peace in the heart of the mountains.
The cross was created by dedicated students from the HTL Wels – a project that impressively brings to life the European Union’s motto: “United in diversity.”
A heartfelt thank you to HTL Wels, the European Commission – Representation in Austria with Christian Wigand, Europe Direct, Regional Councillor Markus Achleitner, the Municipality of Ebensee with Mayor Sabine Promberger, and Rupert Schiefer, CEO of the Bergbahnen Dachstein Salzkammergut – all of whom actively bring the European spirit to life.
